Recommendations Preparation and Dosage References

According to the information available:

The use for pediculosis is classified as REC based on the traditional experience in the documented significant use in the TRAMIL surveys and toxicity study.

Avoid ingestion of the leaf or its preparations due to the risk of toxicity. In the event of poisoning, seek medical assistance. The fresh leaves in dermal application can produce allergenic activity, induce dermatitis or nicotine toxicity.

Not for use during pregnancy, breastfeeding or in children under 5 years.

For lice (pediculosis):
prepare a decoction or infusion with 2-4 or 4 dried leaves in 4 cups (1 litre) of water. For the decoction boil for 10 minutes in a covered vessel. For the infusion, add the boiling water to the 2-4 dried chopped leaves and cover. Leave to stand for 5 minutes, cool, strain (filter), apply and rub into the scalp. Rinse after 2-3 hours. Use for 2-3 consecutive days, repeat after a week.

Preparations must never be stored for more than 24 hours, even if refrigerated.
