Bixa orellana

Shrub or small tree of up to 9 m, very ramified. Alternate leaves, ovate, from 8 to 20 cm, acuminate, cordate at the base, entire. Inflorescence in terminal panicles; flowers 4 to 5.3 cm in diameter; pink or white petals, obovate to broadly oval. Capsule (fruit) ovoid to globular-ovoid, 3 to 4 cm, usually with soft spines. Seeds with a red aril.

Canavalia ensiformis

Annual erect plant, up to 2 m in height.  Leaf with three membranous leaflets, oval to ovate, 6 to 12 cm in length.  Flowers, 10 to 20 in number, pink, in peduncles.  Pod (fruit) linear, slightly curved, up to 30 cm in length, with three longitudinal ribs in each valve.  Ellipsoid seeds, approx. 2 cm in length, white with a brown mark.

Capraria biflora

Herbaceous or subshrub of up to 1 m in height. Oblanceolate or oblong leaves, 1 to 9 cm, acute, sawn in the upper half; sessile or short petioles. Flowers solitary, axillary or in pairs, 4 to 6 mm linear-lanceolate sepals, 1 cm corolla, white. Oval to oval-ovoid capsule, 5 to 6 mm.

Capsicum annuum

Densely ramified herb or shrub. Leaves with slender petiole, solitary or in pairs, ovate or lanceolate, acuminate apex. Two or more flowers at each node, rarely one; calyx truncated or with minute lobes; corolla white-green or white-yellowish. Red fruit, 1.5 to 3 cm in diameter, ellipsoid-lanceolate or lanceolate, with an acute apex. Creamy to yellowish seeds.

A species with a large number of cultivars that have a high diversity of shape in their fruits.
