Allium schoenoprasum

Herbaceous plant, with underground bulbous stem, up to 1 cm wide, often elongated. Linear, hollow leaves, as long as or longer than the scape. Scape more than 20 cm in length, numerous flowers in the head, pink-purple in colour.

Allium sativum

Herbaceous plant with bulbs divided and wrapped in a whitish skin. Flattened leaves, 2-3 cm in width. Inflorescence in scape about 50 cm; dense umbel; pink flowers with oblong-ovoid ovary.

Acalypha alopecuroidea

Herbaceous erect, annual, up to 50 cm. Deltoid to rounded/ovate leaves of 3 to 7 cm, acuminate or cuspidate/acuminate, crenate. Terminal and axillary ears, up to 5 cm; bracts of pistillate flowers from 7 to 9 mm, with long hairs. Capsule of 2 mm in length.

Abelmoschus esculentus

Annual, erect, woody at the base, up to 3 or 4 m, non-ramified. Orbicular leaves, 10-30 cm, 5-7 lobate; lanceolate to ovate serrate lobes, acute or obtuse. Calyx 2 cm, yellow petals with purple spots in the centre, 3-4 cm. Angular capsular fruit of up to 20 cm, acuminate, viscous.
